The Perquin easy access waterfall tour takes you to the “nos olividamos el nombre” waterfall which is often visited by local tourists as it is closer to the village. The drive takes 80  minutes to the village of Perquin and then another 15 minutes to the refreshment stand located at the entrance to the privately owned waterfall where you will pay a small fee to enter. During the drive you will see amazing views of the San Miguel Volcano and the mountain ranges that divide El Salvador and Honduras. The 2 minute walk to the waterfall is down a easy dirt and stone path. The waterfall has a deep pool at the base which is ideal for swimming and jumping into from as high as you feel comfortable with provided by the stairs that are cut into the mountain along the side of the cascading flume. On the way there or back we will for sure stop at the Perkin Lenca panoramic view restaurant for some homemade cookies and cakes to go and maybe the war museum for a brief look see if time permits.  Bring a towel, dry pants, some money and your credit card if you need an the ATM stop.

The Perquin remote waterfall tour takes you an amazing waterfall which is hardly ever visited and forms the El Salvador/Honduras border. You can actually swim from one country to the other!!! The drive takes 80 minutes to the village of Perquin and then another 20 minutes past the border guards to where you MUST present your passport and explain to them we are NOT leaving the country and then on to the entrance to the waterfall. During the drive you will see amazing views of the San Miguel Volcano and the mountain ranges that divide El Salvador and Honduras. The 15 minute walk down a dirt path to the waterfall requires decent shoes. The cascading flume, over 120 feet tall (40 meters), crashes in a deep pool ideal for swimming.  On the way there or back we will for sure stop at the Perkin Lenca panoramic view restaurant for some homemade cookies and cakes to go and maybe the war museum for a brief look see if time permits.  Bring a towel, dry pants, some money and your credit card if you need an  ATM stop.

The Perquin war museum tour takes you to a cluster of 3 building located in a old rancho style hacienda which is visited by many local and foreign tourists.  The museum, which has a $5 entry fee, is filled with posters, photos, cars, weapons, short wave radios and destroyed plane parts depicting the plight of the local people during the 18 year conflict. The drive takes 80 minutes to the village of Perquin during which you will see amazing views of the San Miguel Volcano and the mountain ranges that divide El Salvador and Honduras. On the way there or back we will for sure stop at the Perkin Lenca panoramic view restaurant for some homemade cookies and cakes to go and maybe the easy access waterfall for a brief look see if time permits.  Bring a towel, dry pants, some money and your credit card if you need an ATM stop.
